The most of us probably think that mankind and everything it has made would last forever, but as much i would like to believe in such a thing, i just can't imagine that we may be a species that will one day maybe rule more than just the Earth, that we may even get better and smarter one day.
Did we try it so many times, to be better, to make a better society, or was it just money that kept us going? As i look back on our history, one thing i can clearly see is not less and not more but death. Even the greatest developments of mankind ended up as deadly weapons of mass destruction. And what's then the point in it? Are we all just a crazy, dumb, worthless bunch of beings?
I would like to believe that we'll live forever, like described in the science fiction novels, but then I find myself thinking that maybe there are some smarter, better beings somewhere out in the universe that may help us get in smarter, better state of mind, where we won't even bother whether we're alive or not, or whether we conquer something or not. There would be peace and noone would crave for more money or property.
Obviously, the mankind can't reach that state of mind, however hard it tries, so let's wait for the aliens who will teach us how to be those beings we always called "human".
